Vets registered interstate coming to work in Queensland

Under the NRVR (National Recognition of Veterinary Registration) scheme, veterinary surgeons and veterinary specialists who are registered anywhere in Australia are ‘deemed’ to be registered in Queensland for the purpose of undertaking locum work. Vets working in Queensland must comply with Queensland legislation.

Vets registered in Queensland undertaking locum work in other states

If you are registered as a veterinary surgeon or specialist in Queensland your registration is recognised in these states for undertaking locum work under the NRVR scheme:

  • New South Wales
  • Victoria
  • South Australia
  • Tasmania
